Rear speaker wiring question

I have a 1993 extra cab pickup and I popped out the rear speaker to replace it today and found a couple wires and some chip thingy. Can I bypass this or do I need it? If I can bypass it or if I should when using an aftermarket head unit, which wires do what?

Thanks
Grant

I'm guessing you found the factory amp. I know they have em in the 4Runners, but I dunno for sure about the pick ups. You need to get a multimeter, and bypass the amps if you want the back speakers to work with an aftermarket headunit.
