Another remote start question

I had all other wires connected and went to test my remote start and when the doors are unlocked it works fine. when the doors are locked however it sets off the alarm. in the manual it says an alarm bypass wire is not available. i do not have the key with a chip so i cannot think of what the problem would be. does anyone know where this wire would be or what i need to do

when you go to remote start with "the" alarm armed, the alarm goes off. Is this the factory alarm?

what manual states there is not an alarm bypass wire available?

This is an '01 4runner with the factory alarm?

Ill find out some info for ya tomorrow when I go to work.

This is the factory alarm with a 1-button remote start add-on.
In the manual for the remote start it says that on an '01 4Runner there is not a remote by-pass wire.
I really would like to be able to keep my car locked while it is started by remote.
thanks for the help

There should be a wire off of the remote start that either supplies 12 volts, or grounds to make the alarm "think" that the car is really off. You have to connect that to the alarm power wire that connects to the alarm brains. Mine was under the drivers side dash, near the center console, the wire was black with a yellow stripe (as far as I remember, make sure you test the wires first) Hope this helps, pm me if you need anymore help, Ill try my best answering any of your questions
