Question Alpine & XM???

Hi all. I have a situation with my XM receiver (TUA-T020XM) and my CD Changer (CHA-S634). This setup is AI NET compatible. The problem is when I leave the radio (CDA-7897) on FM1, FM2 or Disc and then switch to the CD Changer, there is no sound but the cd is playing which indicates that the Changer has power. Now if I scroll through a pick XM and then the Changer, I get sound. I think it has something to do with the power. I had a shop install this yesterday and watched the guy who did it and saw him use a device to check for power with the ignition on and off. He ended up spliting into a wire for power. Is it possible that the wire he split is not continuous power? Should he have run the power cable directly to the battery? Or maybe I have to reset my radio to the factory settings. For the mean time, it does work. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

I don't think it is power. I am thinking he hooked up your CD changer to the wrong input....
