It was a NewField he broke. He's going 30x30's like myself.

Talking Dropped by Sears today and left with a Blue Top Optima (D34M).

Dropped by Sears today and left with a Blue Top Optima (D34M). I got it for $153.46 out the door.

I wanted an Odyssey PC1700MJT but it would not fit under the hood and I needed a battery right now as my old battery was on its last leg and I just didn’t feel like trying to figure out where to put the Odyssey at the moment.

I’m planning, at a later date to get the Odyssey and put it either under the 4Runner or in the back of the 4Runner (FYI: Odyssey batteries are the only batteries DOT approved to be put in the passenger compartment of a passenger vehicle).

FYI: I've found the Odyssey's for 179.00 with shipping at the Website.

***Update Time***

Well the SAS has been pushed back until probably January. I had a chance to invest in some stuff and spent some of the SAS $$$.

I’m still collecting parts. My E-Lockers will be here Friday. The yard I ordered them from was moving when I ordered the lockers and lost them in the process and didn’t find them until last week.

I’ve got an R151F Turbo Transmission and T-Case coming in a week or two. I figured for the price it was worth picking up. So now it looks like I’ll be using it instead of my R150F. I’m still debating on whether I want dual t-cases or dual trannies. I could use the R150F in front and the R151F behind it for an awesome combo. I’ll make that decision after I get the SAS finished.

If I can pry my A$$ off the couch tomorrow I’m planning to get the axle removed from the 84 donor truck and start tearing it down for the rebuild.

That’s it for now. Everyone have a happy turkey day tomorrow.

I’m out!

Is it going to be around the same time of year in 06?

Mark's planning to help with the SAS, you should come over that weekend and help cut up the truck. EDIT: you don't have to help you can just watch if you want.

EDIT AGAIN: I wanna see some pictures of the new IS300!

I'll see about that weekend, time is limited right now with the baby. You know, I've only taken a couple of crappy pics of the Lexus-shame on me. Hell, we've only put 100 miles on it in 3 weeks. I'm taking it out of town tomorrow for the first time.

I'll post up (& PM you) when the planned weekend is a couple of weeks away.

I bet the IS is a lot of fun. I've been trying to (jokingly) talk my mom into getting the new IS350. It'll be some years before my parents or I would even think about truly buying one. Let it get some years on it, buying new is crazy.

On another note my parents are thinking of buying a used Tundra so I can use it as a tow rig. There not buying it just for me to use as a tow rig but at least I'll get to use it. I'm building the 4Runner to get to the trails and back home but it'll be nice to tow it there and back if possible.

EDIT: Congratulations on the baby. I hope she (sex ?) and the mother are doing well.

Got my E-Lockers today, FINALLY! They look good. One was from a 98 4Runner (12,00 miles) and the other was from a 97 4Runner (30,000 miles). The 98 one looks to really only have 12,000 miles on it.

I was going to go HP in the front but I just couldn't pass up the deal. The salvage yard lost my first locker so they got me the 98 one instead and gave me an awsome deal on the 97 one to make up for my wasted time.

If I find that in the future having an LP 3rd up front hurts me off-road I’ll spend the money on an HP 3rd and just sell the LP. I’m thinking there’s not going to be THAT big of a difference.

Stay tuned for the installation.

That is my philosophy for the future.

It'll work for some things.

When you can pay for 2 LP lockers for the price of one HP locker you just gotta do it.

It’s done! I finally got the axle removed from the donor truck. I forgot my camera at home so no pictures of the removal. It wasn’t all that great so no one missed anything important.

Progress should start happening fast now that I have an axle in the garage. Next weekend will consist of full disassemble and rebuild of the axle.

If I don’t hear anything from Bud about the transmission adapter in a few days, I’ll be shipping my 3rds to ZUK for there re-gears and should have them back in a week or 2.
