guess you got two threads going about this
 : but oh wellhere is a thread from Pirate that I remembered: http://pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=650362 he bobbed and dove tailed the bed, it came out pretty cool. The kid does nice metal work. Looking at some of these threads I am thinking that I might just bob my trekker...not sure though..

Not a first gen truck but 4Runner
 85' 4Runner bobbed 14" and dovetailed 12". The body was pretty smashed up so I didn't have to worry about chipping the paint or small dents. I'm sure a truck would be a lot easier.
