FJ80 F/R Axles or Dana 60 and 14 Bolt.

I don't get on here often, but found this searching... I just bought an 80 rear for my 4runner buggy for $650 shipped. It's full float, my gear ratio, disc in the rear, proper lug pattern and already has a locker that I'm wired to operate already- choice was easy for me. I don't think the offset will be a problem but you never know... Poly also makes chromoly axle shafts and with a larger ring gear I think it will fit my needs well... I don't wheel that hard, but I've broke an 4runner e-locker rear twice...
My front axle is a dana 30 which I have not broken contrary to popular belief, at $50 per entire axle the 30 high pinion has been great for me

Hey brian, hope things are well for you in NM If you want a set of 4.30's for your runner (not sure if it already is) I have some for cheap!
BTW, I got 5 FJ rims for $150 and 9 of those tires for $400- this is still a budget build

def would go with the d 60 and FF14 bolt, these are my 2 favorite axles. The strength of these is insane, Ive seen them run in dump trucks to 800hrs+ mud trucks. The closed knuckle d60 fronts are junk just fyi. You can usually find 14bolts all day for a two hundred bucks but dana 60 fronts seem to be pretty penny still I can find them in wyoming for about 1000 bucks, just my 2 cents

I can't speak to the steering setup on the front 80s but you can run a double cardon rear drive shaft to get rid of driveline vibes on the rear. It's just the reverse of what the suzuki samurai folks deal with when they stuff mini truck axles under their rigs (samurais have offset rears).
