98 Dual Cab Hilux,Trail Gear SAS now underway
Thought I'd post up some build pics of a mates Hilux that is getting some work done. It's all being done by Brook at Custom 4x4 Fabrications. He's the guy that built all the custom barwork on my 4runner. See this thread for the buildup pics of that.

I'm pretty sure he is a member of here, but doesn't visit much, so you may have seen his truck before.
Cuurents specs are:
98 SR5 Dual Cab Hilux
Lexus 1UZ-FE quadcam 4.0L V8 with aftermarket management
4.88 diff ratios
Dual Batteries
Front auto locker
Rear Air locker
Long range tank
315/75/17 (35x12.5) Mickey Thomson MTZ's
17x9 Brute B201 Alloys
2" Body lift
2" Suspension lift
Heres a pic.
The truck was originaly built for medium wheeling and show. But he wants to turn it into something that can be used serously offroad without the worry of major panel damage.
Some of the bling removed, ready for the tube work to begin.
Start of the sliders.
First trial fit.
Fully welded, braced and gusseted. There will be plate added later to fill in the gaps.
Complete, ready for powdercoating.

More.
Will post more update pics as it gets done...he's hoping to have the whole lot finished, including the SAS and Coil Rear in about 6 months time.

I'm the same...The one thing I don't like about them is how they are all so open...so you can see all the raditor support panel (etc.) thorugh the tube work. Brook is going to fill in all the gaps on this one with plate. But the plate will have the dimple die holes in it.

Some more pics....The bar is now finished, besides the plating, which wont happen till the dimple dies arrive from the states. The tray will be started next week.
