they function, the sound is slightly anoying but not enough to make me go too much out of my way. id rather finish up the bumper first and install the tow hooks on the frame. then get to work on the rear bump

that sounds really good, but right now im low budget. the shackles were free. gonna get some leafs from a buddys old truck. and buying another truck tomorow for stricktly offroad use

I'd weld a few taps on the front to hang a shackle from. Even if you plan to have a tow point on the frame they look good and you can tie big stuff down like cannoes. Looks good.

never got around to posting the finished results, but here we go. finished over a year ago. unfortunately sold the truck.
