Toyota axle strength

Is a factory toyota v6 rear axle strong enough to handle 350hp and 38" tires? I was thinking about putting a gm 14bff in my 4runner but after I pulled the 3rd the axles dont look to me very much smaller than the 14 bolt. I didnt have one to compare it too but just by memory they look about the same size. The engine is an 04 5.3 from a tahoe that will be cammed and tuned. I dont really want to have to worry about my axle evertime I drive it. So should I keep the toyota rear or change it out for the gm?

Axles are 30 spline and won't be the problem ... 8" ring gear will be the problem... go cryo'd gears and PRO setup to have a chance
