is there a way around welding?

i want to convert an 88 samuria to spring over but wasnt sure if i had to weld new spring pads to the axel housing. another thing was that i was wondering what would happen if i just flipped my axel upside down to bypass installing new spring pads?

You wouldn't be able to connect your drive shaft. Pinion would either stick out the front or be on the wrong side.

I second the JBWeld

Seriously?

JB Weld is strong stuff, but I'm not ready to risk my life on it ... you need to weld them. It's pretty easy, should be cheap - there are people who run mobile welding businesses, they will come out to your house and weld it up, then you're good to go!
