supra LSD in front axle?

I just removed my ARB from the front axle. Had to cause I swapped it for a 2JZ engine and I seldom use the ARB.
I wanted to retrofit the OEM open carrier (Landcruiser 70-80 series high pinion) but discoverd that I have 3 allmost identical carriers in my shed.
I recall stripping 2 supra's, an '86 7M-GE auto (with optional LSD package) and a '92 7M-GTE manual. Plus I have the LC open carrier from the high pinion.
I can identify one set as from a supra cause it had the 3.7 gears. This is also the LSD which is 5mm smaller than the other 2 LSD's. Dunno if its from the turbo or not.
So I'm left with 2 identical carriers with identical dimensions and bearings. They are so identical that I cannot see which one is the LSD and which one is the open model. I have to open one up or use 2 shafts to find out which is the lSD.
Since they are the same I have a choise. LSD or not?

Now back to my question: is it worth to have an LSD up front?
Anybody use a supra LSD up front before?

WHAT? A 2JZ in a 4Runner? Is it a 2JZ-GE or 2JZ-GTE?

From a certain movie: "2JZ...NO ลลลล!"

Pics?

I have an LSD up front. It's A Detroit TrueTrac. I believe it is worth it. Certainly better than open.

Depends on what kind of 4wd use your truck gets more than anything \else.

I have limited slip in the front of my truck, and it is a lot better than open for what I do.

if you have the LSD then put it in, but from my experience they don't do much for anything but mild wheeling, IMO a limited slip belongs on road, not off

Okay, I think I will give it a try. Maybe even add some shims to the LSD for more (less?) slip.

No pics of the engine yet, I will probably pick it up in a week or 2.
It's a 2JZ-GE so no turbo. That would be a bad idea cause the 4R is lifted and kinda heavy due to the xtra's. If I drive the 4R (with the 7M-GE) hard, my brakes start to fade after 4-5 corners and my passengers go

If I wanted to go 'twinturbo' fast I would get another vehicle like a stock supra, this is still my wife's DD.
I do have a suzuki which I want to build up with yota parts and what will become my weekend warrior. Unfortunately all my effort, parts and money seem to go to the 4R. I wonder why.

Update:
I had to mount the open carrier. The carrierbearings of the supra are 50 x 83 x 24mm. The high pinion housing uses the smaller 45 x 80 x 21 bearings.
Since I did not have the proper bearings I unfortunately had to put it back together with the open carrier.
Which I allready mounted in my other 4R rear axle for my suzuki project. So I had to strip that too, remove the third member and take out the carrier.
So what looked like a simple thing turned into a battlefield again. My garage looks like a got bombed, diff parts and grease everywhere.

The 4R is up and running now so I only have to put back together the other third member and axle.

I'm sure it would work with the proper bearings but I'm not going to try that anytime soon.
