There are two different boxes here. The Contico SUV box linked in this thread which you posted dimensions on that doesn't have any sort of latch for holding the top down and the yellow Waterloo box which I posted pics of and has the tray for tools. The dimensions that I posted refer to the yellow Waterloo box.
