IFS lift question.
I want to get about a 4-5" lift for my runner. I was originally gonna buy the SL 4-5" susp. lift with all new leafs in the rear, but my bro told me a good idea. Just get the IFS front lift and then buy the Rear Leaf lift kit from Marlin Crawler. So my question is where can i get JUST the front lift. I dont want to go scrounging up used parts from other people. I want new parts that have never been used (also for a decent price ~$0-$450 maybe if i have to a little bit higher). Thanks for any input yall might have.

ya i thought about doing that, but i really dont want to have to deal with trying to sell 4" lift blocks!! Noone wants that crap. I might jsut have to do that tho, thanks for the input.

someone is always looking for lift blocks. if people are dumb enough to buy a grilled cheese sandwich because they think the Virgin Mary is on it, you can sell 4" lift blocks to a guy who wants to lower his ride.

stick with stock torsions, big bars kill flex. that ebay kit will do fine.
What do you plan to do with it? Why 4-6" of lift? Reda up about the bracket lifts and the alternatives before you spend any money. It may not be what you're looking for, then again it may be what you're looking for. This is coming from a guy who took the bracket lift off of his truck. Just some advice.

I know someone selling a brand new 4" bracket lift for like $400(if I remember correctly) It's pro-comp or super lift.. one of the two. PM me for his e-mail as he is not on yt.

wut is a bracket lift? I really want something that will get me better performance as well as lift so i am still leaning toward buying the actual spring lifts.

Bracket lifts are your common 4-5" lifts for ifs system. The one in the ebay auction you posted is also a bracket lift.
Of course your flex is greatly limited on the ifs no matter what you do unless you go to a long travel ifs system.
I am not very familiar with long travel systems so I will not give any information on them here but deathrunner would be one of the guys to talk to here about those systems if that is what you are interested in.
You could probably do a sas when it's all said and done for the same cost if not cheaper then to go with a long travel system.

well i know that my IFS will be limited, but if you have at least one axle that has good flex then then it will compensate for the one that has poor flex. I was gonna go with the SL kit with all new leafs like i said, but they wont have as much flex and they will sag over time, but if i get the larger ones from marlin crawler and i will have more flex and it will be able to sit level.

Bracket lifts hold up great on the street, not so well on the trail.
A front that flexes bad, and a rear that flexes good is still bad.
Mine is that way and it sucks really bad.
You seem to wish to stay on a budget. It sounds like you want to get big tires. if you want to regear, it would be wise to do it during the lift install since the front diff has to come out, and the rear is easy.

i plan on getting 33x10.5x15 BFG AT KO, i have a few friends who are running similar setups and they perform fairly well. Yes i want to stay on a budget of about $1200-$2000. I plan on keeping my current rims and getting a detroit ezlocker or trutrac i cant decide which one yet. It has 4.10's in it now so i guess i can deal with that for a little while.

First, you can fit 33x10.50 stock, NO lift on stock wheels. I would suggest balljoint spacers - they are about the only form of IFS lift that can actually INCREASE travel.
WRONG! It is much better to have "balanced" flex between the front and rear - even if that means limiting the rear articulation. Having a lot of flex in the back and limited flex in the front = one tippy SOB!

You do not need near 4" of lift to fit 33x10.50's. (not to mention 33 10.50's would look really small with 4-5" of lift) Actually you can probably fit those at near stock height. My suggestion would be to go with not much of a suspension lift. BJ spacers up front, (turn your t-bars down for more flex) Maybe add slight rear lift springs and add revolver shackles(plenty of flex). Then add a 2" body lift and pull your drivetrain up. You can get plenty far out on the trail with this setup.
You actually have a pretty large budget to work with. I am assuming though that the tires need to be calculated in the budget.

It would be way too %$$(*% tall. Lift as much as you need, as little as possible.

sooo how about the all-pro 3" rear super-flex springs in the rear. Give me a hand for wut to do in the front. Man i appreciate how patient and helpful u are being to me. U dont know how grateful i am.
