Help! Ball joint spacer install

started on installing my 1.5 balljoint spacers today. Finished with the grinding, however I can't seem to gain enough clearance between the upper control arm and the balljoint to slip it back in with the spacer on top. Not anything like the clearance shown on this page http://www.amug.org/~sschaefer/san_d...olutions_.html

How do I do this?
Thanks

Send a message via MSN to cabbage
Try putting a bottle jack between the upper and lower a-arms, good luck!

With the upper BJ still attached, I jacked the lower up enough to get a 2x4 in between the upper arm and the extension bumpstop. This required taking tension off the bars and muscling the spindle around.
