Daystar Lift

I recently installed the Daystar 1" spacer kit on the front my 03' Tacoma Prerunner 2wd. A very installer friendly kit, 1 hour to install with a floor jack and hand tools. Soon after, I installed a full set of Bilsteins. I now sit about 1/2" higher in front over the rear.

My question is, what will be the maximum tire/wheel combo I can go with.

I would like to go with 31x11.50x15's if possible.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

This link should answer your questions...

You may be fine, a lot depends on the wheel width and offset. Also, 31x11.50 is not a common size, are you sure its not 31x10.50 or 32x11.50?

Thanks for the link.

Yes, 31x11.50x15's are what I want, but I was not aware of them being an uncommon size. If they are not a standard size, the price probably reflects that point?

What I am shooting for is getting away from the metrics on my truck. I want to install 15x8 black steelies and need to know what b/s to go with.

Everyone I have spoken with (at tire shops) gives me a different answer.

Thanks for the help.

Measure your current backspacing and start from there. Check clearance around the current tires and make adjustments for the new larger tire size to see if it would have any rubbing problems on the current backspacing. For example, say you had a 29x9.50 tire and were going to the 31x11.50, you would see the tire radius increase by 1" and the tire width on each side of the wheel increase 1", so you could take a 1" square block and run it around the edge of the tire to check for clearance. Ideally, you want to keep the wheels in as close to the vehicle as possible w/o running to make fitting the tires easier. The wider out you push the wheels, especially in front, the harder it becomes to fit them.
