bronze idler arm bushings

well, i got some bronze bushings that are pretty darn close to the idler arm bushings. so im going to have a machine shop turn down the OD and bore out the ID to the correct size!!! these should last much longer before off roading takes its toll.

Sweet that should last quite awhile. Is that the oil impregnated kind of bronze?

It is a piece of bronze?

I think a 50 dollar idler arm brace would be a better fix, but please let us know how this works out.

it is oil impregnated bronze.

idler arm braces do nothing to prevent bushings from wearing out prematurely and the slop in the steering that results.

Thats good stuff, had some made for a custom 3-wheeler I made and never noticed any wear with them. Even after many years in the Glamis sand dunes ect.
