Anyone Used an Aftermarket Exhaust T100??

My muffler and tailpipe are on their way out. I cannot imagine you can squeeze any more HP out of this truck, but has anyone tried a different exhaust set up than stock? I don't want to replace the header, just a cat back. I don't mind the fact that it is quiet with the stock setup, but any more power would be welcome. Any thoughts?

If you the 2.7L Motor opt for the magnaflow 14" if you got the 3.4L motor get the Magnaflow 18".

Sorry I have the V6. Is it loud? Much louder than stock and is it direct bolt on? In other words does it fit right? Thanks.

Sounds like you dont know much about your truck. The 3.4 is the V6. Depends on how loud you want your truck to sound (i.e. how old you are). Do NOT exceed 2.5 inch pipe or you will lose power.

Guilty!! I really don't know anything about my truck. I don't even know the HP rating. 180? I have too many vehicles, including a track car and I take the truck for granted. It is my tow vehicle and hauler of crap. It just waits in the driveway til I need it. The pipe coming off the muffler is completely gone and the muffler is developing rust holes (I know the rust can be from periodic sitting and short trips) This truck fits one of those wierd niches. Before the muffler problem, it was so quiet and refined, sounded like a Camry. Now it is a little throaty, not too loud and I don't mind it, but don't want it so loud that the neighbors hear you coming a block away. No bees in a can please. BTW I'm 36, I don't mind it sounding like a truck, but also don't want it shaking windows!!

But I do know enough that the 3.4 is the V6. Give me a little credit!!

I tried to find an aftermarket exhaust for my truck. But I didn't see anyting I really liked. So I decided to go with the factory. It was $130 new! I couldn't build one for that little money. It botled on and sounds like new (until I got my headers and my cat some how disappeared ) I would just bolt on the factory stuff in your case. It does flow well enough. Maybe if you had a supercharger and needed more flow, get a bigger aftermarket exhaust. Just keep it stock and forget about it.

Stock may just be the best bet, at least I know it will fit properly.

I have still have 2 stock 2.7L or 3.4L mufflers ill sell to you for $15 each.

I had a flowmaster muffler and new tail pipe installed for about $125. The truck sounds nice and mellow with a little growl under throttle. It's probably my favorite mod.

I'm running a Dynomax Turbo Muffler with a hi flo cat and a 2.25" pipe. Nothing turbo about the muffler other than the name. Kind of a raunchy sound but only in the low RPM's. Not too different sounding than stock. I've found them at most muffler shops and at Summit Racing.

Performance Products carries the Jardine Muffler for Toyotas. I rode in a manual T100 with one and it sounded good too, not too loud. Costs a little more than a Dynomax.

I wouldn't go larger than a 2.25 - 2.5 inch pipe. The loss of backpressure from going with a bigger pipe will really rob your low end, especially if you run a TRD supercharger, and that's from personal experience not reiterated internet information.
