old to offroadin' new to the internet!
after rolling my jeep i have decided to follow a different venue. i had great luck with my 4Runner back in the day so i decided to try the landcruiser I found abandoned by my neighbors kid who left the state. 25 hundred bucks later I am the proud owner of an 88 fj 62 w/160k. i have acquired the arb front bumper, ome, man a fre suspension to begin with but am having a hard time locating some of the basic aftermarket stuff which was so readily available for the jeep. I loved my husky floormats, does anyone know of a good kit for the cruiser? also what does a guy do with that huge hole in the dash where I believe a factory stereo once existed? I don't need a "boomin'" system, just would like something decent sounding that looks semi- decent in that large gap- I was thinking possibly even a c.b. below a normal sized reciever, any ideas would be appreciated! and lastly the factory auto- shifter is badly worn and I was looking for perhaps an aftermarket performance type such as b & m. thanks for sharing any ideas you might have. Darren

Also, you may want to check out TLCA - if you are planning on more work for your cruiser, there are some decent discounts you can take advantage of as a member of this group (good mag, too - Toyota Trails).
Sounds like a cool truck that will take you far. Congrats!

thanx for the help! I checked out I h8mud and your right... excellent stuff! Can't find any good mats to keep the gook off that new carpet I just installed- Iwas thinking about one of those stereo/gps screens to fill up that double dib stereo gap. Does anyone make a good header for this straight six? Thanx Again! Darren
