Okay, so I know there are millions of threads out there but I could read them till the end of my life ( I have already done hours of reading). So let me give you some background information before I ask my question. I am going to start wheeling my Runner as soon as I get another car to use as a Daily driver. Right now I have Bilsteins on my truck but they seem to be a little too stiff with the urethane body mounts I just put on. I have to use this truck as my DD for at least a few months before I get a car. I was thinking about going back to stock shocks for now but I do have plans to do the OEM/Tundra lift in the future. So my question is, should I drop some money on stock shocks and run them for now, or should I drop a bit more and get the Tacoma Double Cab TRD shocks that I will eventually use with the lift? Will the TRD shocks be any longer than the Bilsteins I am running now? I am just worried about over compressing them... Thanks guys, I can't wait to start really wheelin!

The TRD shocks are Bilstiens.

True, except for the 01-04 Double Cab TRD's, which are Tokico...

Yeah, I was referring to the 01-04 Double Cab ones. Sorry! I was also under the impression that the Aftermarket Bilsteins were stiffer than TRDs too. Is that true?

I think the tacoma shocks will be to short when you put the tundra lift on. Why not just wait and get OME.

I have an 01 Double Cab and it had Bilsteins all the way around.

Grrr... that makes me mad. The guy at the dealership told my dad (he bought the truck new in 03) that all the double cabs got the Tokicos, even the TRD's. I do have a locker, however, and that's the important point...
