Yeah, another horn question

. . . ie. I did search My question is regarding frequency. Do I understand it correctly that the lower the frequency the less powerful the sound, and a lower note. Also, for the most part, are electric horns more brassy (higher pitched/tone) than air horns at the same dB? Thanks!

Short answer:

If an air horn and yota horn are the same frequency and the same power what would the difference be?

Frequency wave!

The wave comes in several flavors;

Sine
Saw tooth
Square

There are two types of sound power. Perceivable power is defined as something you can hear and feel. Actual power is measured output of the horn in dB.

An electric horn aperture is different from an air horn so you will hear and feel different sounds when the same frequency is being used.

And some horns allow dual or more freq's by providing more horn apertures. As an example, a three air horns or two differenet electric horns can create a destintive sound.

I hope that answers your question.
