Thanks for all the replies, I guess what I was hoping for is a picture of the bright light wire inside of the vehicle that I can tap into...... btw I don't have running lights on my 98.

We could always use more writeups if you want to record yours with pics, then submit it to me via the info in the Tech Article section.

I did not take pics of my install though, there are a few out there, and I just refere to them.

Mine was a little different though since the switch has 4 prongs.
That is so the switch itself glows whenever the light stalk is turned to the running lamps or the headlamps.

Makes it easier to see the switch in the dark.
The 3 prong switches do not light up until you flip the switch to turn on the lamps.

You might be able to use the 4 prong one in your rig like I did.
I had to scrape the switch with a knife a bit to trim it, but other than that, it fit into the dash blank very well.

Here was my thread on installing them, I forgot to update it that I finished the project.

And if you want to try out the 4 prong switch, contact either member trdparts4u or strap22 on the forum here.
Same shop.

It comes with that white plug with the 4 green wires too, pretty darn slick.
I already have a 2nd switch, and will be getting another IPF harness down the road to wire up my old Hella 500s and mount them to the ARB bumper.

quick question

do the pop outs really just pop out? or do you have to take a screwdriver or something to pry it out. also if you just mash in wont it flop around in there and make noise? thanks guys

If you can get your fingers in from behind, they simply push out.
Some use a butter knife from the front, but I like to go from behind and not take a knife to the front.

If you have the correct size switch, they will not flop around at all.
