Window tint?

Window tint?
I have a black 96 toyota t100 extended cab (pics coming soon)and im thinking about tinting my windows. Im not sure how dark i want to go and i was wondering if any of you guys had some pics or something of some trucks with tint. I think i want to go somewhere around 15% or so. I want them to be dark but not something that attracts cops. Thanks

15% on the front 2 windows, matched to the factory tint will look nice. Just have them put a layer of 15% over the tailgate window to darken up the cargo area, and you'll be looking good. I'll try to get some pics of mine on here soon.

Check with local laws before you go too dark. Where I live, if it is too dark upon inspection, they will make you take it off and the police can give you a ticket if it is too dark. Have heard of this happening even to out of state vehicles.

Here in South Florida, even the cops have dark tint on their cruisers, 15% is perfect, not too dark and not too light. The cops you really have to watch out for are the ones on motorcycles. They have the best toys, including the tint meter, and in the end you'll end up with a ticket and a citation to have the tint removed.

Tint
In Texas the legal tint is 20% on the sides. You can't get an inspection sticker if it is too dark unless you know the right people. I have a friend who got a ticket for his tint and it was like $80 .
I've got the hook up and just had a layer of platinum and a layer of limo put on all the way around. I think it is about 4%. It looks really good. It is really dark and very reflective. I like . I'll post a pic when I have time.
If you go really dark you need to be careful driving at night. It seems really dark at first but you get used to it. The only time I have trouble is when backing up and I just roll my windows down and use my side mirrors.
I had 15% on the sides of my regular cab truck and it wasn't dark enough, but I like my tint dark.
Hope this was some help.

Cebby--Yes, as far as I know, the % is the amount of light let in. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong though.
Here in NC, I can get get all windows from back up to B pillars as dark as I want. Front side windows can be no more than 35% and no tint is allowed on windshield (except just about the top 3 inches). At least that's how I understood the whole thing.
Well, have fun all.

The lower the %, the darker the tint. It usually goes from 35% (next to nothing) to 5% which is really dark. I had tint put over the factory tint on my Explorer and 5% put on the front two windows. This makes it a pain to see out the windows at night, so I decided to save some money and not go so dark on my 4Runner.
