Wilsons 04' tacoma

Okay so here it goes. Bought the tacoma dec 29th 2003(before it even turned to 2004!, anyways) in denver for only 15,200. regular cab 4x4 dark red with the larger 265 70 16's on them. thoes had to go. put on some Kelly DTR's 265 75 16 on some 16x7 black american racing wheels. i think they look kick ass. i do notice some rub but nothing thats going to destroy my front end. got a 15% tint put on....27% legal but since the rear window is so close to the front it makes it look a lil brighter than 15%. in some of the pics you will notice the tailgate off....i took it off when i was putting on the Herculiner(do it yourself Rhino Liner). the kit cost me about a 100 total and its tough! i was pounding on it with the claw side of a hammer and couldnt tell where i hit it. i just ordered a deck plate through the mail and am trying to track down a supercharger for it. kinda hard since its the 2.7 inline 4. the pics of it out and about were taken today when i finally kinda saw its ability and i was impressed. for stock everything but wheels and tires it climbed like a beast. the trail i got on is just red clay and nothing else. it was pretty dry today and the pics done do it justice. it was seriously a 65-70 degree pitch that it just climbed up. im very impressed with the Kelly DTR's. at 152 a pop it was worth it. i didnt spin them at all in 4 low, it just climbed. my friends new rubicon had a little slip and he has the MTR's on it. the pics really dont do it justice! http://f2.pg.briefcase.yahoo.com/bc...ir=/Tacoma+pics i will be adding more here and there. give me some feedback. im def going to be doing a lift here soon. think im gonna go with a 3" old man emu....strong but heavy. good balance out of it. dont wanna rub it the wrong way. okay now my question....probably kinda stupid. when you are doing some agressive stuff is it best to have the windows down if you can or up to keep flying rocks outta your face and more important your interior.....let me know. give me some feedback on what your guys think. if anyone here is near colorado springs let me know. get together sometime and head up to woodland park, i know some awsome places up there. also if you dont have a yahoo account just email me or whatever and let me know and i will email you the pics of instant message them to you.

Looks real good! I really like the dark grey bumper, grill, and flares, it goes real good with the red.

You know, they have these things that help with writing. They're called paragraphs...

J/K

I did want to mention to you not to bother with the Supercharger from TRD for that engine. A lot of people have bought it, only to have it removed within a few weeks since they couldn't discern any difference in power between the stock engine and the TRD S/C installation.

Alpine, an Australian company that designed the original kit for that engine, which includes ECU and Fuel upgrades that the TRD kit lacks, actually produces good power and it costs LESS. TRD licensed the kit from Alpine and decided to leave out the ECU and Fuel upgrades, thereby making their kit worthless. Go to TTORA.com and ask about that particular kit. Someone over there can hook you up.

Welcome to the forums and good luck!

TRD doesnt make a supercharger for the 2.7 anymore, just alpine. i alreaduy talked to Nuke at toyota territory and he said that the Alpine superchargers that will work with the 2004 wont come out until later this year like sept.

The bumper is actually matte black like the grill and flares. sold the OEM grey one for more and then bought the matte black one.
