WHEELIN' and DEALIN' for tires and wheels
I didnt want to mess up the 3rd generation picture thread I started a few months ago with the ongoing search for wheels and tires.
So, this is the place to shout out some deals if you know of any.
My current search is for the following.
TIRES
BFG All Terrians - 285/75/16's
WHEELS
RockCrawler 51 series (Black)
16x8 with 4 inch BS
W/ Caps and lugs.
So far this is what I found as of 12-02-05
TIREPACKAGE.com Tire and wheel combo $1,029.82 (shipped)
4Wheelparts.com Tire and wheel combo $1,095.00 (shipped)
Sams Club. (Tires only) $175.88 each
Tirerack.com/barretire.com doesnt carry RockCrawler wheels. Tires are 166.00 each.
188.00 per tire at Mr.TIRE
Hopefully this will help out others who are looking as well. Good luck ! POST YOUR FINDINGS TOO !

me I'd go with a generic bfg all terrain nock off. Cordovan DTX - cost $118.00 retail $145.00
Unique black D-window 16x8 cost - $59.15 retail $72.95
Total package retail $871.80 + tax = $924.11
Total package at employee price $826.25 w/ tax.
Either way its a very similar tire, very similar wheel for much less. I'd even sell it cheaper if needed. But that shows the locals can compete with the online places.

How do the Nitto Terra Grapplers hold up on mileage? I will do alot more highway than offroad and so far my BFG All terrians are holding up rather well on tread wear. That 600.00 price is nice on the grapplers.

BFG Mud Terrain Owners ! How many miles are you getting out of this style of tire? Are they holding up well. I will mostly run on the highway with occasional off road, but love the look! Its a toss up between all terrains and mud terrains.
-Cheers!

That's a good deal right there ROOF!!
I have always loved the BFG Mudders, I had them on my old 2nd gen and never had ANY problems with them...I have heard of people getting about 30k-40k out of em with religious rotating and alignments.

Nothing that some punk rock music wont drown out?
I will admit, I am pussin' out alittle by changing tires... I have owned BFG all terrains on 2 different trucks so far and they did great on wear. Since they are so expensive I want to do the better investment for the long run.

Still trying to figure out the picture hosting.
Anyway, here are my BFG's after 36,289 miles as of today. I bought them on 6-9-01 and had them rotated twice Still alot of tread left.
