That the tailpipe is just a couple inches long curved straight down right after the muffler. In other words, there's almost no tailpipe. People mainly do this so it'll sound louder.

I actually found mine on Ebay and had it delivered to me from Texas. Within one hour of picking it up, the vehicle went straight to the tint shop. Two days later I had the stereo worked on. I had to basically fix the crappy job the installers did for the previous owner. The power antenna was hooked up wrong so I had the shop redo the wiring to have the power antenna go down when the stereo was off, not when the ignition was turned off as it had been wrongfully wired. Then the 4" speakers in the dash were disconnected and replaced with a set of 6.5" MB Quarts were custom fitted into the doors. The rear speakers (a pair of Pioneer 6x9s) had to be properly installed as they were poorly installed and were slightly rattling. On my last trip to Hawaii I had picked-up some killer seatcovers from my favorite surf shop on my island so I put those in after it was all cleaned up. And, finally, the major service was performed. For now, that's about it... it's only been a week since I've had it.

First service was either new plugs or lubing the driveshaft.

First Mod was Ranchos 'cause original shocks were done at 150k miles. Also installed a shift knob from an '02 Subaru WRX 'cause the knob was so worn out it was gross.

First toy? Oh, I guess a Yakima sliding-rail rack.

The second day I had my truck - Removed the factory running boards. Replaced the skid plate bolts that had fallen out because the previous owner had gotten the oil changed "to do me a favor" 2 days before I picked the truck up, and the flunky who did the work forgot to tighten them...

first mods

I bought it on a Friday and Saturday I dropped it off at the stealership for the VO6 recall. Ended up getting new heads AND a block. Took 3 weeks!

After that, I immediately removes the mud flaps and those cheezy plastic stock runnin' boards. Then I installed some OME rear coils, SAW Torsion BarsII, RS5's all the way around, and got some new 32 BFG M/T KM's mounted on some 9" Centerlines I had laying around.

In fact, the wife took it out last Saturday for it's first wheelin' trip. Not really wheelin'. More like muddin' and cruisin' around the sand at the river. Kinda lame but she had fun!

In order of when they were done: sound system (toy), tinted front winders (mod), and new brake pads (service). Or if tinting front winders isn't considered a mod, then deck plate.
