VSC and 1" front spacer for 4th gen
Yes I have searched, I just need some clarification. This is my first post but I have been lurking for the last few months. So, VSC can only be turned off by pulling the fuse or relay on a 4th gen? With TC turned off I can't get any wheel spin, or at least siginificant wheel spin turned or straight.
Also, does anyone have a picture of a 4th gen with the 1"-3/4" spacer on the front coils only? With the stock wheels SR5/Limited or the sport wheels? I would like to attempt this project in the future to level the ride height. Why is it so easy to break the abs line when performing the install?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think you'll find any pictures yet of the 1" spacer on the front coils only ... I know there are some people who have ordered them from us, but haven't yet posted pictures of the result.
It will definitely level the ride height, and stock wheels/tires will look just fine with it. I don't know why it is so easy to break the abs line -- I know a few people have broken some ABS sensors, but my best bet is that it is because you are working around the lines and can damage them internally without realizing it.
Really, it isn't that easy to break them if you're careful. If you take your time around all the lines and all the parts, you will be just fine and accomplish it easily.

what model 4th Gen do you have V6/V8 2wd or 4wd? VSC turns off when you lock the center diff on the 4wd models, but ATRAC still works (actually then really works for offroading). You should be able to get some spin pening on the type of surfac you are on. My V8 4wd doesn't really spin on pavement since it is permanent 4wd, but then again I hav not really tried
Try to see if you can find pics of Biff, he only did the front lift 2.5" I think and didn't lift th rear. It will give you an idea of what it looks like with stock tires.

You won't level the height to much with a 1.5" spacer. I put the Daystar 2.5" FRONT ONLY on mine and the height is still off by 1". You need a min. of 3 to 3.5".

Thanks for the help. We have a 04 V6 SE 2wd. I just wish I could turn off VSC so that if I am on a beach or something I will have some wheel spin to gain momentum.
Biff, if 2.5 on the front only will not level the truck, then why do most of the lifted trucks look pretty level? Maybe something to do with the weight of a V6 vs. V8?

not sure if the 2wd folks can turn off their vsc. I believe they have the switch that'll turn off their trac control though. That might do the trick.
Good luck
