Valve Cover gasket replacement-Job for amateur??

My valve cover gaskets have been leaking for a long time now. The stealership wants $600 to fix it. However, I've looked through my Haynes and other shop manuels and I'm trying to decide if I should attempt the repair myself. It doesn't look too bad but I've done enough work on my other car (and 4runner including starter solenoid replacement) to know the manuel's instructions can look easy but often times may leave out something. I don't want to screw anything up so thought I'd post to get some feedback. Thanks in advance.

One side is easy and certainly can be done by just about any amateur.
The passenger side will require the removal of the intake.

.....so you decide if you are up to the task or not.

The service manual linked only has the 3VZ and not the 5VZ motor in there but the procedure is still more or less the same.

Thanks guys--rollem-thanks for the link. I'll weed through it and see if I can apply it to the 5VZ.

Just did the deckplate mod last weekend and I LOVE IT! However, I think I'm leaking more oil from the valve covers now because my driving has been more aggressive this week --I'm smelling the oil hit the exhaust more often.

Intake Silencer Removal ---there is a write-up in the technical docs area. From what I read it improves throttle response and that's about it ..
