Tinting with Privacy Glass
I have the privacy glass on the two big back windows and been looking at getting some tinting done. Has anyone done tinting to just the door windows without touching the privacy glass? Does it look okay? Can you tint privacy glass?? Thanks

Joey,
I bought a rear cargo tonneau cover from dope4runner. The reason he sold it was because no one could see inside his rig so he didn't need it. The truck was jet black, the windows had all (except windshield)been limo-tinted including the privacy glass. When he drove up, I could not tell anyone was in the truck. He said he hadn't had any trouble with the law. It looked like a factory job. Very professional.

I had tint put over the factory privacy glass on my prior truck (Jeep Cherokee). It looks fine as long as you tint up the front windowns as well. It kind of sucks because it makes it hard to see out of your windows at night. The police really don't appreciate it, depending on which state you live in. I had my windows done on my '97 4Runner, I had them put 15% tint on the driver and passenger windows to match the factory tint, and had them double up the tailgate window as well to darken up the cargo area. It looks perfect, and legal.
