timing test jumper?

i was reading the writeup done to adjust the tps on the 3.0 and it states

" to check whether the adjustment was successful start the engine and insert the timing test jumper, if the idle speed decreases audibly it is working normally"

well before i mess with the tps, i want to do this test and see what my engine is doing. only thing is i don't know what a timing test jumper is. please advise. where would i be able to get one and where does it plug into?

thanks
JQ

I'm sure Toyota has a special tool for this but I just use a small piece of wire, about 20 guage or so. It jumps 2 connectors in the diagnostic connector box. I can't remember off hand which ones they are, something like TE1 and E, but I'm sure someone else will answer.

Greetings,
Under the hood next to ye olde fuse box is a grey diagnostic box, take a paperclip and insert one end into "te" & the other end into "e1", if the idle decreases your tps is working fine, if not your tps is shot or out of adj.
Good Luck!
