Think its worth it? 89 pickup...
This is my first post, I'm glad I found this forum!
I've been looking at a 1989 toy pickup, 4x4, 4 cylinder- 5 speed (not sure which engine yet). Extended cab, nice shell, 31s + spare all new, 150,000. Owner has had it since new, he's an older guy and I personally know he has treated it well and maintained it regularly. He always uses toyota parts, etc. The paint looks nice, no rusting in the bed, a decent sized dent (5"x6") on the rear left fender, but no rusting and not very deep. He's asking $4000 but I think he'd go for $3500. He just replaced the clutch BTW. Think its worth it?

89 option was 22re or 3.0 V6
SR5 came with Tach and a few crome pieces maybe even a moon roog and premium wheels power windows were optional on SR5 pkg oh and a cassette player.

Sounds exactly like my 89 extend cab I bought for $4,000 when I was 17. Mine had the v6 and about the same dent in the back corner as that one does. The one I got had 220,000 miles on it and ran strong! I sold it for $4,900 a year later (after some much needed care which is why it went for more) to switch to the 4runner but that tuck was worth every cent! I would buy that if I were you. The extended cab is sooo nice.

Awesome, I'm gonna go inspect it closer with someone who's more familiar with that truck. If all is good I''ll go for it. Also I don't think it is SR5 now that you mention the options but it doesn't matter to me. I'll post some pics if i get it. Thanks for the replies!
