Taco Steering Wheel
Here's a Q that probably doesn't come up much...
Is it possible to replace the wheel in a '96 Taco with one from a '89-'94? Why, you might ask? Well, I'm starting to consider an early Taco over the previous gen (my butt-dyno craves the 3.4, and then there's that speaker location/size issue..), but I absolutely loathe the Taco's exploding steering-pillow, and seeing as it's RIGHT THERE in front of me, it would annoy me endlessly.
I like the wheel from the earlier SR5, and I would need to be able to utilize the cruise controls. I couldn't care less about having an airbag - in fact, I'd rather not even have one, so that needn't be a consideration.
I actually like the '89-'94 body and interior better, but the 3.0 issues have got me seriously worried that I'm setting myself up for financial ruin, and I'm not willing to consider a 22RE.
