Swapping front diffs
I am in the process of swap front diffs. I currently have a add diff and installing a non add diff. In this process I am swapping add tube over to keep the same setup just wanting different gears that are in the non add diff. So my main question is that do you need the roller bearing setup that is on the add or can you just run it?

I did a swap once and found a used 4:56 front diff with ADD set-up to a my non ADD font housing. If I remember I swapped out the axle tube and had to get a new seal to adapt the ADD 4:56 gears to my non ADD set-up.All in all everything went well and still running.Good luck doing yours

What seal is that you are talking about? I know the there is a roller bearing on the add but not on the non add. Does anyone know if there would be any problems with not using a roller bearing setup? Thanks

How did this swap end up working out for you? I am contemplating swapping out my 4.10s for 4.30s in my Tacoma. I currently have a non ADD 4.10 front diff, the 4.30 front diff would be coming off of an ADD 4Runner. What will I run into if I do this? Thanks!
