Strut question's.

Alright, Some of you may remember a while back when i broke the perch off of my front right passenger side strut.
Anyways, I purchased a new one and it is Sensatrac brand. Its not the best but it works, not to mention i work at NAPA so i got it with my discount for $25.

Anyways, the question i have is....

The new sensatrac strut i have is about 1/4 shorter than the Ruff country one that came with the lift. Shorter in distance between the perch seat that the spring rests on UP to where the nutt bolts on. NOT from the perch to the bottom.

Im wondering if this will effect anything? I am thinking that it may be harder to reassemble with the shorter length since i will have to compress the spring more?? But then again will 1/4 of an inch matter?

So pretty much, will it effect the height of my lift, since the spring cant go that extra 1/4? OR will it be ok because the Ruff country strut probably got compressed that extra 1/4 with the weight of the truck resting on it.

Let me have some thoughts on this. Im not sure what all other struts Napa carries, but i do beleive we may have rancho? Maybe i could get a longer one if they make them and this one wont work.

Here is a picture of what all im dealing with.
