Hmmm...I'd go with Adam on this one, especially if its a constant whine and not a creaking from the suspension flexing. Because of the lift, your driveshafts are now extended a bit further than they were before. Also, your CV's should also be a greater angle as well. Is there a diff drop kit for the surfs? Climb under there with a grease gun and lube up all the zerks you can find, might be a bad u-joint...

If it doesnt have manual hubs, id guess that it is a cv. Go under your car and grab either cv and pull it back and forth, up and down, and try to twist it. If you find there is alot of play, thats probally it.
