Stock Clinometer and Altimeter

Hey, i was wondering if anyone knew where i could get a stock toyota clinometer and altimeter combo. they used to come with the older 4runners. i called the dealer, and they want about $300 for it! AHHHH. i found a place in N. Hollywood that wanted $150 for it, a lil better. if anyone has one that they want to sell , or kno newhere i could get one for cheap .. i'd appreciate it!

That is not to bad of a price really.
Most Toy junk yards are getting that.
I think I paid $150 for mine.

Just watch out though.
There are people on Ebay selling the one from the Tercel and passing them off as the truck/4Runner ones.
The Tercel one will work, but it doesn't have the altimeter on it.

I bought a rare 2nd gen clinometer earlier in the year from the land of OZ.
They did not come on the 2nd gens for the US, but over in Australia and abroad, you could get them.

Here is mine.

Mine is made for a right hand drive rig of course, so I had a local stereo shop mod the base so it would fit.
It's wired up so it comes on with the lights and it works great.

you just gotta be lucky, and keep your eyes open. I got mine for
free from a local yard, who just threw it in with the deal when I
bought my seats.

cool! i cant wait to get mine! theres a local 4wheel store nearby, and they sell a clinometer (no altimeter) that mounts to almost anywhere... it looks pretty cool,.. for about $25!!! hehe. i may just go with that. but the toyota ones with altimeter looks so great!

you guys talk about getting toyota parts from the junk yard... all local junkyards/pickaparts here dont carry toyota pickups. they sell all their junked yota trucks to somewhere in egypt!!! ahhHH!

where have u gone to get your stuff? im located in Long Beach, California.

Josh, I use to have the clinometer you mentioned.
See page II of my mods:
http://www.pnw4runners.net/tando/modtoc.htm
You can buy that one from Performance Products from less than that.

Lots of places to buy online.
WA. state has a big Toy graveyard:
www.nix99.com

There is one in CA. called Tap Recycling, but all I hear is negative posts on most Toy forums from folk's who have dealt with them.

This post on POR is up to 459 posts

yeh thanks for all the help. if anyone knows anyone that can hook me up w one for a good price, let me know. $300 or $150 for a alti/clinometer is kinda pricy right now... i could put that money to new bilsteins (2 of 4) heheh but yeh, maybe ill just go with the $25 one, or i saw the one on ebay from the tercel, it looks kinda cool actually. it has the clinometer, and a diagram or something that shows ur in 4x4.
the altimeter, doesnt look too accurate, i mean... it doesnt look like u can tell the exact elevation ur at... more like, rounded to the nearest hundred or thousand or something. but then again, i dont realli know how to read those yet.
when i get my Garmin GPS, that can tell me my altitude.

thanks everyone!!!
