Spark Plug Cables Shocking
I recently bought a 1997 2.7 4WD Tacoma. I've been going through it and finding it wasn't taken care of very well (low transmission oil and very low rear differential oil -- I have to get a 12 mm hex to check the front dif). When I touch the cables where they attach to the cap opposite the spark plug (I don't know what it is called, but it isn't a distributor), I get a shock on all 4 cables. The cables look new, but I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to switch them out with NGK cables. They are Autolite Professional Series Premium Spark Plug Wires 5mm silicone suppression cables SAE Class E.
There is a lot to go through in the FSM, but I noticed that the grease needs to be different for the spiders than the rest of the fittings. Is that necessary? Before I read this, I lubed everything with Super Lithium EP Moly Grease. Wouldn't this cover both (Lithium and Molybdenum)?
I'm sure the learning curve from 22RE to Tacoma will take some time. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I can only go by my own luck most times all bad
Then the dealer stocks the wires no one else does so maybe the ease of getting them has influenced my bias
Then I change wires and plugs every spring.
Not to say I would not try other wires.

Definitely time for new wires. The insulation is bad. you should never be able to get shocked from your wires. If your are getting shocked while handling the wires near the distributor cap, it could be a cracked cap.
