some DIY's-Yay or nay

hey all i have searched on these things before hand and didnt find out what i really wanted to so im asking for you guys help on these do it yourself things.
#1- Fan Clutch. havent even looked for it yet and never worked with one before, i have a 22re automatic by the way. would this be easy to do yourself? hard to get at? i have basic knowledge with oil change, ignition, filters, etc... just never tried anything like this
#2- power sterring, a/c, and v belts. havent changed any belts yet so dont know what to expect, dont they have to be the right "tightness" for them not to suqeak, or is it just slap it on and your done. have no helms manual or anything so any help would be appreciated thanks guys - steve

Both are a yes. You'll have to remove the fan to change the belts as well as the fan clutch. I'd say go for it.

both are easy to do. the fan clutch is easy to do. on my v6, it was a tight fit to get to the 4 nuts that holds the fan clutch to the pullies. but once it's off, it will be easier to get to the belts. yes, you need to get the belt right but that's easy to do. once it's install, just do the feel test. you don't want them too tight. there is a technique you can use with a straight edge and ruler for belt deflection but i'm not sure what the specs are for the 22re. the haynes manual i had didn't have it for my v6 either.

i just did the belts last weekend and one of them is squeeking but they feel right. any have the belts specs for the 3vze?
