I just picked up a used gen 3 (gray) supercharger and would like to pull the bearings and seals for the nose cone and also at least the needle bearings for the rotors.

I have been researching quite a bit and I believe I can do this job myself but I do lack a press and don't have enough need to justify buying one.

My question is to see if anyone has done this in sacramento area and either could help me out by pressing the bearings if someone has a press or knows a good shop that can do the pressing? I would prefer to work with another member that has done this rebuild before and could coach me since I have never done any pressing yet. I would throw someone some coin or go through a 12 pack or two of course for some help..

Magnuson's in Ventura, they are the original manufacturer of that supercharger and provide very good service at a reasonable price point. I got my 2nd gen (black) supercharger fully rebuilt (minus new rotors) by them for about $350.

If you can't find someone to help you, consider reaching out to them. They're the best

Thanks - I emailed Dave at Magnusun and they quoted me $475 to replace the bearings and seals. He said it is basically all the seals and bearings so they must have gone way up. Jon Bond and Embree are quoting 500 to 600 to do this as well. They are all extremely helpful and Jon actually told me he would give me as much help as possible if I go down the DIY path.I was able to find someone with a press and I considering completing the nose cone and maybe taking the needle bearings to a local machine shop to do. Has anyone done the needle bearing removal and installation? All I have been able to find on the M62 is the grease gun tap method (which I believe they are doing on a GM type system). When I look at the bottom of the gray supercharger housing that I have I don't see any sign of the "two small holes" that are supposed to be tapped and pumped with grease. I have been searching for days to see if someone has done this on the TRD chargers and still cant find pictures or steps on the needle bearing removal / replacement process. Just thought I would ask since I am sure someone has done this out there. It really doesnt look that complicated. Although I know if I screw it up then I am really screwed!!
