Rough ride & braking

Okay, read a lot here which only make me more confused. Hahaha.
I believe the bushings on my front end are going. Some look worn also. Ride is quite rough, even with new stock shocks installed. Handeling seems kind of loose also.

Many have said to just replace complete lower control arm instead of bushings, way too much work. What about ball joints (difficulty)? Is there upper connections to replace?

Thinking what to do when I bring it to the mechanic. Should I get aftermarket parts for him or have him replace a little or a lot of suspension, etc.

Thanks all.
