Replacing guage cluster from V6, into 4cyl.
I have been searching for guage clusters to swap into my pickup to get rid of the idiot light, no tach cluster. I find them all over the place from the correct year of pickup and/or 4Runners, but the problem is, they all come from rigs that had the V6. My pickup has the 4 banger. I've read in writeups that when you swap clusters from these different motors, there is an issue with the tach. Everything works okay, but the tach reads wrong. Does anyone have any experience with this?
Search brought up a lot of stuff about indiglo guages, and things of that nature, but nothing along the lines of this.
Thanks guys.

Actually, I've already seen that page, and that's what got me wondering. That page only tells you how to make a cluster work after a larger motor has been swapped in, or swapping a cluster from a smaller motor, to one witha larger one.
What I am doing is the exact opposite of what they show on that page.
