Repair Manuals

Which is best? I have the Chiltons, but I'm not thrilled with it. it dosen't even show how to seperate the hub housing from the rotor!

I picked up the Haynes a couple years ago, and I'm not all that impressed. The best manuals are the Toyota factory repair manuals. They're for sale all the time on eBay for various years.

Also if you have a 2nd gen, don't forget this site.

Supposedly it is a factory 2nd gen manual on CD with PDF files.

I have it, and it shows a lot of stuff in very clear detail.

I am also looking for a service repair manual for my '99. I saw this on ebay . Is this a good price with $6 shipping for a CD?

dukestr,

I was wondering the same thing. I don't know anybody who has one of those CD's. I was considering getting one for my 91, but after doing a search on closed items, I've yet to see one sell (for 91). I don't know if that means they suck or if people prefer the hard copy manuals. If the CD has everything that the hard copies do, I would say this is an excellent price--the manuals have been selling on eBay for around $60-$75.
