Mapp gas and Acetylene are both increbibly explosive. Dropp either of them and boom as we've seen. Acetylene is the worst of the two. Acetylene comes dissolved in acetone and the bottles are full of a porous cement or other porous material just to keep the volume down. Also don't use actylene gas around oil or use oil on the gauges cause it will light up like a 6 month old christmas tree. Sorry to hear of your troubles, and thanks for the much needed heads up.
