Rebuilt engine in, spins over and won't start
Well, finally got my rebuilt engine in last night. Went to fire it up and it just spins over and won't start. Have codes P0100 Mass Air Flow and P1300 Igniter circuit 1. I have no spark, at least on the one I checked (3) {saw another post on here about that code and it said he was only getting spark on number 1} and I don't hear the fuel pump kicking on, haven't manually checked for fuel yet. I assume I've got a ground loose/not connected or some other wiring issue. With the mass air flow connector, I am getting a 5v referance on pin 3, but not getting anything on pin one, which from what diagram I pulled up on the phone last night, it's suppose to have 9-12v. Can't see the computer going bad with it just sitting for a couple of months while the engine was rebuilt. Help in any direction would be greatly apreciated. Searched quite a bit on here and on the t4r forum. Can't seem to find anyone with this issue.

Had a similar issue on my 3rz (2.7l) after i did the head. After i did a lot of testing replacing etc i found the coolant temp sensor unplugged. On mine its on the back of the head real close to the firewall accessed on the right side of the truck and some small hands!

As long as you have the P1300 it will not start
when the ECM does not see the igniter it shuts the fuel off
Bad igniter open or short in the wiring going to the ECM this would include a bad or poor ground.
ECM is toast!!
Check your connector plugs it is possible during the rebuild they did get corroded you most likely can`t see this with your eyes.
If you had your ECM unplugged as well clean those as well
Your MAF might have got dirty or your sucking Air between the sensor and throttle body.
clean these connections as well.
it sucks not to have the diagnostics section of the FSM and your own scan tool makes it so much easier.
The FSM and the EWD `s are almost a given to work on these newer engines.
