Problem with Weld Wheels on 99' Tacoma

Hey guys, I am new to the site and new to Toyotas as I just bought mine about a week ago. Here is the issue, my 1999 Taco has a 7" lift with 15x10 MHT wheels and 35" tires. I just bought a slightly used set of Weld Racing wheels (15x10) with Wild Country 35x1250R15 mounted. The wheels fit up fine, but the problem I am having is with the center caps. Basically, if the center caps are on, the wheels don't sit flush and only like three threads on the studs are available. So I am driving around without the caps on but want to know if anyone else has run into a problem with their center caps not fitting the toyota axel and what you have done to fix it, other than just buying a $100 set of new caps that bolt on to the front of the wheel instead of fitting in through the back?

7", are you from Hawaii?

Secondly, check out wheelers off road for new caps...they are cheaper.

EDIT: Here's a link. They have Black and chrome center caps.

The black ones are $4.99 a peice, and the chrome ones are $3.95 a peice.

Maybe i'm slow, but the Hawaii joke? Secondly, I took a look at the site you mentioned, just don't know if they will actually fit. I may just try and find the Weld covers for $50 on eBay.

I did run into another problem with the weld wheels though. The front wheels scrapped the face of the brake calipers. I took a grinder to the seemingly pointless rig on the calipers. Now it has a few MM of space between the, which while sufficient worries me nontheless. I know this topic has been brought up before, but might serve as a warning for those considering weld wheels.

why on earth do folks from hawaii lift their trucks so high and use such wide wheels?

most i've seen can get by on half the lift they are running.
