Pics of New Skid Plate and My 4Runner's New Partner

My girlfriend bought that on Friday. It's a 2001 GS 300. Wow that car is awesome.

Thanks UKMeyers!! That Lexus is awfully fun to drive. It has a whole lot of "get up" to only be a 220 HP inline 6.

Its still an inline 6?? are you sure?? I could swear its a V6 now. Any shots of the engine?? But sweet none the less!! You guys have two nice rides! Not to say anything against either runners or the lex, but pretty much any car seems fast after driving an SUV around, IMHO. The best lexus site is clublexus.com If shes not into the car thing, you should join. They have tons of sweet rides overthere. Some eyecandy if nothing else! Well, congrats on the um... well, sorta-yourish car

Thanks for the compliments guys. Vato Loco, my 4Runner and her GS are both the same color. It's Millenium Silver Metallic. I love that color. I think it and that off white/cream color that Toyota has are their best colors.

I'm trying to talk her into getting this......

but I don't think she'll go for that. This thing gives 275 rear wheel horsepower. Wow!! Hey, maybe if I bugged her long enough she'd cave in. Check it out here....

OicnaiC,
I was wondering the same thing. As a matter of fact, I heard "Awe, they're cute" and "Awe, look at the buddies" several times while those pics were being snapped.

Hum... I guess when you make an engine like the Supra's 2jz, you tend to not change it too much Thats cool. You would think you could get more than 275hp out of it with a turbo kit though. I know its nothing like the 2jz, but thats what? 50hp? It doesn't look like the system comes with an intercooler, so that could be it. Personally, I wouldn't get a system that didn't have one. It makes turbos 100% (not actual) more effective... Well, good luck talking her into the turbo! Theres nothing like a little whine or whilstle under the hood well, if you get tired of pushing the turbo, you could atleast talk her into an exhaust. I imagine they sound really good with a good exhaust. You know... its amazing how different an engine can sound, with the same configuration. Take a supra for instance. An I-6, then you listen to a 325i or M3 Bimmer, and its amazing how different they sound. (just random thought)
