Can one of our resident photochoppers hit these with more of a black color versus the "Teflon" look. I need to make KING be quiet, lol.

Hate to say this. But the chrome wheels look better. Only b/c they match the chrome bumpers you have on there already.

If you squint your eyes and imagine black or green color bumpers then the dark wheels look good.

But if you do this its needs to be black not a dark grey like in the pic.

By the way, the rear bumper is black, this is an old pic.

Dude, that looks sweet! White letters will be in of course.

I like the wheels grey, I think they look real nice. Now the Teletubby(sp?) is something left to be desired.

Annodize them...... you can get an awesome finish by bead/sand blasting them first. They'll come out looking like a satin black finish.

I wish I could do that. But I am already into this wheel situation as a whole way too much. Around here, powdercoating is $50 per wheel, and that does not include the mounting and balancing charges to R&R the wheels. Not sure how much anodizing differs from powdercoating, but I would imagine they are pretty close. Bottom line is that I cannot justify spending that much. I think I am going to do one wheel myself. And if worse comes to worse, I really screw it up and have to get a new wheel off ebay or something. I have prep and paint experience, so I think I can do it. You guys will be the first to know!

I just got the Harbor freight catalog and they had the powder coat sprayer thinger-ma-jinger in there for $19.99. Now you just gotta find a way to bake them. maybe a blow dryer or something?

Thanks for posting those links. I actually bought some VHT primer, Satin Black wheel paint, and some clear top-coat already. I like that link because they have some good masking ideas – well actually it’s an over spray guard that I might be able to make at Home Depot. Hopefully this route is going to work!

It became quickly obvious that people here know how to use Photoshop WAY better than I do, so I went a different route and gave you what you REALLY wanted, a new set of black steelies

http://members.aol.com/mfinja/ben/blacksteelies.jpg

I kept beating my head against it trying to figure out the shading, but finally gave up
And now back to the computer to try and figure out how to use that program!
