For other 2003 4runner owners
Ok this is an odd question. When i orginally went to look at my truck before i picked it up it had two cargo nets in the back. One across the back opening and the second across the second level of the cargo area. When i picked it up two days later and went home i noticed that there was only one in the back. I want to know if it normally comes with two. Also the one that goes across the back how does it attach to the cargo area. Where i thought there should be hooks on the floor there see to be just two empty slots where two hook like attachments should be, they look like they have been removed. Anyone help?

its comes with two.... If i remember, one is for the floor, and the other goes vertically. The floor one is alot bigger, and i think it mounts to the hooks on hte floor. I have never used it, but I used the shorter one to keep stuff from slamming into the back hatch.

MIne came with the two. I left the one on the shelf, but put the other one in one of the pockets on the wheel well. With it being stretched across the back like that, it was in the way.

yea, packing that thing in the back pockets is a pain in the ass...thats where i put them though. I almost wish there was some more storage back there, because i like to keep a flashlight and ice scraper and a small tool kit. I hate it moving all over the back when i drive.

impulsebrklyn,
how is the storm up by you? I'm in mid NJ right now. We have a bit of snow on the ground, supposedly gonna get over a foot i think. Up by my school this wouldn't be a big deal, but down here its like armageddon, everyone goes crazy.

OK, then I have a question. On Pg. 233 of the Owner's Manual, it talks about "Grocery Bag Hooks." I have empty holes where they are supposed to be, does anybody else have them?
I also have a scratch in the door handle right below the arm rest. I can't see it when i'm driving because it is on my side at my leg, but knowing it is there drives me crazy. You know anything that could cover it? I have the stone interior, and the scratch is on the dark gray portion.

oh we got 25 inches diablo lots of fun here hehe
You have a scratch in the leather? Did the 4runner come that way? if so bring it back to the dealer and have them repair it. Any interior/upolstry car auto place should be able to repair it. gonna have to make some calls to find out. Chris
What are these grocery hooks, where should they be?????

The scratch is not in the leather, it's in the plastic; the same material that the dash is made out of. I think when I'm near the dealer, I'll take it by and ask them to work on it.
The grocery bag hooks are in the rear cargo area. They should be near the rear storage compartments, over the wheel.

That part scratches easily.. You probably did it w/o noticing. I carry a clip on folding knife and it's scratched that 4 or 5 times. I did it within 45min of owning the car. You just have to use caution.
You don't have the bag hooks because I bet you have the shelf system in the cargo area. Those "holes" are where the shelf locks into place.
