One year update
Well I have had my 4runner now for 13 monthes, and I have a few updates.
She now sits at 166K miles (20K more than when I bought her.) And she has a few stories to tell.
See pics attached.
oh yeah. Thanks for the advice I have been given so far.
Pic one is the famous Dragon just south of Knoxville TN, the locals may be closed for the season but the Yoda wanted to dethaw the beast.
Pic two is my fault and as you can see, the wife wasn't happy.

Actually none at all, she just needed a bath after getting pulled out by a Taco. This thing has been amazingly reliable with the mileage she has on her. The only real damage was my ear drum and bruising from my wife hitting me and yelling "I told you, you were going too slow!"

yeah but if you went faster you would have sucked in water... tell her to sit down and shut up
of course don't say that , you did the right thing by stopping (or sticking) before you got anyworse...
I went in about that same depth, a little more of an angle... so front was a little deeper, and rear a little deeper too i guess, so i guess worse
either way, check your front and rear diff, especially front in your case, chances are you should change the fluid immediately because water will get in if you haven't done a breather extension
