From what I understand, OME Trimpackers are 10mm thick polyurethane 'washers'. You should be able to use them on any spring on the rear of your 4Runner.
The only time it may not be advisable for the front is when you are running progressive springs (PP). By adding the trimpacker, you are putting that much more pre-load on the coil. Again, this only applies to the front. Any spacer added to the rear coil will give you an equivalent amount of lift. The rear coils are not under preload - the fronts are.

I beleive the OME front tpackers are 5mm and metal
the rear are poly and 10mm
as far as using them with oem - I have no idea - but really I would just go with a 1" cornfed spacer if you are looking for lift - they will work great with your oem coils.....
otherwise you will be stacking 5mm metal rings on top of each other ...this is assuming they would even fit on the oem spring seat and rest the right way w/the coil

I dont think they will work on another shock/strut in the front. When I installed them, they slid around the front strut very tight. Im not sure but I believe the OME front strut is bigger in diameter compared to the oem or any other aftermarket strut ive seen (exp. bilstine). So that would mean the trim packer would fit loose on any other strut and basically not work at all.
