You don't have 3.70 gears. Toyota didn't make them for an 8" diff, the highest they made was 3.90 but only in 1981. You should have 4.10 gears like most everyone else unless it's an auto in which case you probably have 4.30's. In any case, 4.56's are generally considered about perfect for 31's w/manual transmission, 4.56 or 4.88's with auto.
